Dr Lloyd Stringer is an entomologist in the Biosecurity Group at Plant and Food Research. He works with an extensive national and international network of researchers to understand the smell, sound, and sight-based conversations being had in nature in order to develop sustainable tools for pest management and eradication in New Zealand’s various landscapes. His close ties with GIA partners and researchers, which have been fostered through collaborations, such as, the Better Border Biosecurity collaboration (b3.net.nz), have allowed him to share innovative developments and knowledge with next users that can be used protect New Zealand’s ecosystems.
